Valley FiberCom is pleased to announce that the 2026 Valley FiberCom Scholarship Application is now available. This year, Valley FiberCom will award seven (7) $1,000 scholarships to deserving graduating seniors. (This is a change from seven (7) $500 scholarships from previous years.)

Established in 2019, the Valley FiberCom Scholarship Program reflects Valley FiberCom’s commitment to investing in local students and the communities we serve. To date, Valley FiberCom, along with Valley Telecommunications, has awarded more than $120,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing higher education.

Students applying for this scholarship must live within the Valley FiberCom service area, including Arlington, Colman-Egan, De Smet, Flandreau, Iroquois, Lake Preston, and Volga. (These are the seven ‘exchanges’ we serve, and the smaller communities included within these exchanges are eligible as well. Click here to view the map of our service areas.)

Application copies have been sent to school counselors in the school districts in the communities mentioned above. Completed applications are to be mailed, and must be postmarked no later than March 31, 2026. (Please note that the USPS recently changed their postmark rules: mail is now postmarked on the date it begins automated processing at a regional facility, not the date it’s dropped off.)

Responses must be typed, and the original application form must be returned. Applications must also be stamped with the school’s official stamp and signed by either the school counselor or principal.
